"Flowers From Strange Fruit" recontextualizes and reclaims the imagery of Black bodies on trees. This work transforms a symbol historically used to terrorize and oppress the Black community through the horrors of lynching. By reshaping this narrative, it highlights Black existence as deeply rooted, unapologetically present, and thriving within its community.
